Your computer becomes more and more slowly after long time using. Here are some advice for you to optimize Windows 7.

Try to Perform troubleshooter

Click Start menu  and then click Control Panel. Inside the search box, enter troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, choose Check for performance issues.

Delete unused program

Many PC manufacturers install new computers with programs you didn't order. These programs occupied many spaces, keeping them on your computer might slow it down and your disk space is full. If you decide you don't want them, you can remove them. It's a great idea to uninstall all the programs you don't want to use. Such as manufacturer-installed software and software you installed yourself but don't want any more. Some programs such as virus scanners, disk cleaners, and backup tools often run automatically at startup, they are running in the background where you can't see them. Many people have no idea of them. Even though your computer is an older one, it might contain some programs that you never noticed. It's never too late to delete them and get rid of the clutter and wasted system resources. Maybe you thought you will use the software someday, but never did. Uninstall it and see if your computer runs faster.

Clear your hard disk

Unnecessary files on your hard disk use up disk space and will slow  your computer. Disk Cleanup removes temporary files, empties the Recycle Bin, and removes a number of system files and other files that you no longer need.

Run fewer programs simultaneously

Sometimes modifying  your computing behavior may have a big effect on your computer's performance. If you like to keep ten programs and a dozen browser windows open at once—all while sending instant messages to your friends—your PC will bog down  obviously. Keeping a lot of e‑mail messages open can also take up memory. If  your PC is slowing down, make sure if you really need to keep all your programs open at the same time.

Make sure you're only running one antivirus software. Running more than one antivirus program can also slow down your computer performance. One antivirus software is enough for your computer.

Add more memory

Add more memory will let your computer run fast. If a computer has enough RAM, it will run better than before. Of course, the best method to speed it up is to add more memory.
